June was dedicated to getting the game in the hands of playtesters and fixing bugs that they ran into. Such as even clearer instructions for the tapping “wood cutting” minigame, thought bubbles disappearing too quickly, and sensitivity being too high.
Due to the fact that I was going to be doing wider testing during June, I also cracked down on a bug that had been existing for too long. The dialogue bubble tail no longer shakes! It is also clamped to the length of the screen for instances when a speaker is off screen.
The thought bubble got moved from the right side of the screen to the bottom and also now has an “invulnerability” period where it cannot be accidently tapped away, which often happened during testing.
Update icons indicating a change now also persist between playthroughs until the player acknowledges them.
One player mentioned it was difficult at times to see items that Misu was trying on in the shop, so I added a simple “shop camera” that allows you to move Misu around 360 as to better check how style.
